I should train it on the snek tank and stream Waxie

if I can figure out how to get a webcam working on Linux >_< anyone have advice?

@kara Get the software, plug your webcam in, and hope for the best. Chances are it works out of the box, I think webcams are pretty standard now as opposed to requiring screwball drivers.

@kara Could be a hardware issue. Have you tried adjusting all the settings that Cheese makes available?

@kara @skquinn if your webcam is really old, consider getting a newer one. most new ones use something called uvc (USB video class) but older webcams often used proprietary architecture for no good reason

@skquinn @trwnh oh, yeah, this was just a bit of old junk I was hoping to use

@kara @skquinn good news is that even cheapo modern (post-2012 at least) webcams will work, so you'll only have to spend $15-20 at *most*
