Kara Dreamer ⚧ is a user on occult.camp. You can follow them or interact with them if you have an account anywhere in the fediverse.

so, @kel, @kel, we should talk

both of you XD

whether you want to go on trying to use dragon.style or not

it's not generated a lot of interest

it might be time to just focus on witches.town, where you have more followers.

this business of juggling multiple accounts scattered across many instances is kinda...problematical

I rather wonder if it doesn't seem shitty to some folks

any opinions?

@kara @kel @kel small instances are an acquired taste

you kinda have to be willing to follow a lot of people, and potentially expect to find a lot of people by having alts on bigger instances (unless you've gotten your following to a specific threshold, and then boosts can work from there)

if your smaller instance account is explicitly an alt of a bigger instance account, i'd expect people will think "oh, i'm already following them" and not bother following back (assuming you imported your following list)

@chr @kel @kel it's a complicated matter. because we use instances not merely as places to live but as home for aspects of our personality, as a entity, we want the instances that our personae use to be...thematic

hence Kel's interest in dragon.style

@kara @kel @kel yeah i figured as much. i had a similar struggle with scalie.business, where i wanted my account there (and the focus of the instance) to be on the more furry aspects of my identity, but it's hard to draw a line in the fediverse like that, and i had to seed the account with people i was already following here. ultimately i ended up just differentiating my account there by what i post, not what i follow. over time i'm hoping that leads to a slightly different evolution of the acct, but idk.
